Namaste, This Christmas Day
I seek the deepest brightest part of you
With one simple word all this I say.
To cast aside the struggles we’ve been through
…for this I pray, for this I pray…
Namaste! Namaste!
I pray to The Spirit within you
That on this day, this Christmas Day
He finds us scattered strangers, and He binds us dear as friends.
I hear the distant bells are ringing
My nose just knows the snows will fall.
And I can hear the angels singing
With my childhood voice, just down the hall.
I’m bathed in Gloried Light and Splendor
My ears still test the silent skies.
For reindeer, sleighs and sweet surrender,
The joy and peace I still remember,
On candied air I taste surprise!
Namaste! Namaste!
I pray to The Spirit within you.
That on this day, this Christmas Day
He finds us scattered strangers, and He binds us dear as friends.
Just as the snowflakes we are many
And yet no two of us the same.
Each brings from heaven sacred plenty,
To a single vision, of many names.
So let me take my place beside you
A space that only we can fill.
As we reflect the light and wonder,
And perfect the Grace we’ve fallen under,
On this Holy Night so still.
And, Namaste! Namaste!
I pray to The Spirit within you.
That on this day, this Christmas Day,
He finds us scattered strangers, and He binds us dear as friends.
The cold reminds me that I need you;
That time and tides roll on so fast.
Let’s hold forever in this moment.
Let not what’s in our reach, escape our grasp.
And, Namaste! Namaste!
I pray to The Spirit within you.
That on this day, this Christmas Day,
He finds us scattered strangers, and He binds us here….
He binds us as dear friends. . . . . . . . . . . .”Do you hear what I hear?”
